Is this an adult only server?

Nope! There’s no age requirement, but we do expect everyone to act with a certain level of maturity. This server is meant to be a chill and welcoming space for all ages. While joking around and having fun is totally fine, behavior that’s overly immature or disruptive to the community can lead to removal—sometimes without warning. Just be cool, respectful, and enjoy the vibes!

Why do you have a store? What do donations go toward?

Running CapysCove isn’t cheap! Between server hosting, plugins, custom content, advertising, and general upkeep, the owner has already put in a considerable amount of money. He also pays a monthly fee just to keep the server online. That doesn’t even include future updates, new features, or exciting content expansions.

The store and donations aren’t about making a profit—they’re about keeping CapysCove alive and growing. Your support directly helps cover server costs, fund new content, fund new advertisement ventures for a bigger community and ensure we can keep bringing you awesome updates and features. This server was built as a passion project, and thanks to the community’s help, we can keep making it better together!

Is this the final version of the server?

We like to think of CapysCove as being in an open beta phase. While we’ve already packed hundreds (if not thousands) of hours of content into the server, this is just the beginning. We’re constantly working to grow and improve—from exciting events and new in-server games to fresh items, custom bosses, and more. Our goal is to keep expanding CapysCove into a thrilling, action-packed SMP experience, all while staying true to that classic vanilla Minecraft feel. When vanilla runs out of steam, we’ll be here to keep the adventure going!

Will CapysCove ever wipe?

Never! Your builds are safe for life here at CapysCove. While we may update certain areas, expand features, or add new content, the main player build world will never be wiped. Our goal is to create a long-term, evolving world where your creations become part of the server’s history.

As the community grows and resources become more limited, we’ll introduce a separate “Resource World” for mining and gathering materials. This world will include an overworld, Nether, and End, and it will be reset periodically to keep resources fresh. But don’t worry—that reset system only applies to the Resource World, not your build world.

So rest easy and build big—your creations are here to stay.

Are my builds safe from griefers? What protections are in place?

Absolutely. We take grief prevention seriously and have multiple systems in place to keep your builds safe:

⋆ Land Claiming: Players can claim their builds to protect them from griefing, stealing, TNT, and even mob damage.
⋆ Mob Griefing Disabled: We’ve turned off mob griefing server-wide, so creepers and other mobs won’t ruin your hard work.
⋆ Activity Monitoring: All player actions are tracked with detailed logging. If someone breaks the rules—stealing, griefing, or scamming—staff are immediately alerted, both in-game and on Discord.
⋆ Trading system: Need to make a deal with a player? Use /trade to securely make that deal. 
⋆ Chest-Shops: Make shops with secure chest-shops to safeguard your items from thieves!
⋆ Strict Rules: Griefing, stealing, and scamming are strictly prohibited and dealt with swiftly. We’re here to create a fun, relaxed space—not one where players have to worry about their stuff being messed with.

As long as you claim your land and follow the rules, your builds are safe with us.

Does the owner play on the server?

Yes! The owner actively plays on CapysCove—but with a strong stance against staff abuse. To keep things fair, the owner uses two separate accounts:

One for administrative tasks with full permissions.

And one regular player account with zero staff powers, used to play the game just like everyone else.

This server was built by a player, for players—and the owner sticks to that philosophy. Even when it comes to keys or ranks, the owner buys them through the store just like any other player, directly supporting the server's growth.

How do I become staff?

When we’re ready to expand the team, we’ll make an announcement and open Staff Applications. You’ll just need to fill out the application form when it goes live, and if you're a good fit, you may be selected!

Please note: asking or begging to become staff won’t help your chances—it can actually hurt them and may even result in your application being denied. Show us you're a helpful, mature, and active member of the community, and you'll stand out when the time comes! 

Is there a guide for all the features on the server?

Yes! We have a full video guide created by the owner in the guide channel. This guide will walk you through all the features on the server but remember you can always start off enjoying playing the vanilla part of the SMP and then move into the custom features we have after you get your sea-legs! On the owners YouTube Channel he will constantly release new videos after more features are released explaining how they work and giving you a first look which will also be posted in the same channel. 

How do you cater to adults?

While our server is open to all ages, we’ve designed it with a more mature, laid-back experience in mind—perfect for adult players looking to enjoy Minecraft without the drama or hoops to jump through. Unlike most adult SMPs that require lengthy application processes, we’ve done away with that.

Instead, our dedicated staff team takes on the responsibility of maintaining a chill, respectful, and active community.

How often will we add new content and host events?

Since we’re just launching after months of development and planning, our first focus is on welcoming the community and gathering feedback. We want to see how players interact with the current "meta" and adjust based on what you enjoy.

We already have a few features planned that make more sense once the player base grows, but after that, our priority will be listening to the community and adding content that aligns with what you’re excited about.

As for events, we’ll be rolling them out in the coming weeks and months as the community grows. Every event will come with exclusive rewards—custom souvenirs and items that can only be earned during that specific event and won’t return in future ones. That means every event is unique and worth being part of.

What are the world borders?

Player Build World:
Overworld: 50k x 50k
Nether: 25k x 25k
End: 25k x 25k

Resource world: (Coming Soon)
Overworld: 15K x 15K
Nether: 10k x 10k

These can change and grow as more players come into the server if needed.
 

How Often Does the Server Update to the Newest Minecraft Version?

We always aim to update to the latest Minecraft version as soon as it’s stable! While we don’t jump on it the exact day of release (most servers don’t), we begin preparing right away. Once critical bugs and exploits are patched and all of our plugins and custom models are compatible, we roll out the update!

We trim unused chunks in the player world to make room for the fresh new biomes and features from the latest version — this ensures you can enjoy everything the update has to offer without starting from scratch.

The Resource World is wiped and regenerated, giving you a brand-new map filled with the newest blocks, mobs, and structures to explore, loot, and harvest.

We’re committed to keeping the server fresh and fun — but always stable and secure first.
