Rules

Rules Section 1 – Respect & Maturity

1.1 – Treat Everyone with Respect:
We’re all here to have a good time. Disrespect, hate speech, slurs, or derogatory remarks of any kind—whether racial, ethnic, sexual, or religious—will not be tolerated.

1.2 – No Spamming or Trolling:
Keep the chat clean. Spamming, trolling, or trying to bypass chat filters is not allowed.

1.3 – Don’t Impersonate Others:
Especially staff. Pretending to be someone you're not is misleading and disruptive.

1.4 – No Harassment or Stalking:
Don’t make others uncomfortable. Creepy or obsessive behavior will get you removed.

1.5 – Don’t Beg:
Asking for free items, ranks, or handouts isn’t cool. Earn it, trade for it, or don’t expect it.

1.6 – No Drama, Drugs, or Politics:
This isn’t the place for real-world debates or controversial topics—keep it light and fun both in-game and on Discord.

1.7 – No Threats or Serious Violations:
Threats, doxxing, blackmail, or extortion are taken very seriously and will be reported to the proper authorities.

1.8 – Respect the Staff:
Arguing with or harassing staff members is not okay. They’re here to help and keep things running smoothly.

1.9 – Keep It Family-Friendly:
Our community includes all ages. Avoid inappropriate jokes, especially those involving self-harm or serious topics.

1.10 – No Advertising:
Don’t promote other servers, social media accounts, or any goods and services. We’re here for CapysCove, not your brand.

Rule Section 2 – Griefing, Stealing & Land Claiming

2.1 – Respect Other Players' Builds:
Give other players space. When building near someone, stay at least 100 blocks away to allow them room to grow and expand.

2.2 – No Claiming or Modifying Builds That Aren’t Yours:
If you didn’t build it, don’t touch it—no claiming, altering, or “borrowing” parts of someone else’s work.

2.3 – Don’t Steal:
Do not take items from chests, furnaces, shulkers, beacons, or any other containers that aren’t yours—even in the resource world. Unless it’s clearly labeled “Free Items” or “Community Chest”, leave it alone.

2.4 – Looting Rules:
You may only loot player death locations after the grace period. Attempting to bypass or cheat the timer is against the rules.

2.5 – Keep Builds Appropriate:
No offensive, inappropriate, or overly sexualized structures. Keep things fun and respectful for everyone.

2.6 – Respect Personal Space:
If someone asks you to leave their area or claim, you must move at least 100 blocks away. Don’t linger or be a nuisance.

2.7 – Stay Out of Private Spaces:
Forcing your way into locked or private areas is not allowed. If a door is shut, assume it’s off-limits.

2.8 – No 1x1 Pillars or Bedrock Holes:
These clutter the world and ruin the landscape. Clean and creative builds only, please.

2.9 – Inactive Land May Be Unclaimed:
If you claim land and leave it empty for 30 days or more, it may be unclaimed by staff to free up space for active players.

2.10 – Trading Builds & Land:
You’re allowed to sell or trade land and builds with other players—but scamming is strictly forbidden.

Rule Section 3 – Farms & Redstone

3.1 – All Redstone Builds Must Be Toggleable
Redstone contraptions must have a clear On/Off switch. If a device becomes too laggy and can’t be turned off, staff may remove it.

3.2 – No Lag Machines
Any redstone build, farm, or item setup that causes lag will be removed. Keep performance in mind.

3.3 – No Zero-Tick Farms
These are banned due to the strain they place on the server.

3.4 – Aesthetics Matter
Try to make your redstone farms look nice! Clean builds = better vibes for everyone.

3.5 – Manage Your Hoppers
Don’t let hoppers sit full. Empty your storage—don’t be lazy.

3.6 – No Shulker Farms Using Nether Portals
These setups are not allowed due to their impact on server stability.

3.7 – No AFK Fish Farms Using Noteblocks or Trapdoors
They’re not permitted on CapysCove.

3.8 – Chunk Loaders Are Not Allowed
Any attempt to keep chunks constantly loaded will be removed.

3.9 – No Entity Cramming
Stacking mobs or entities to extreme levels causes performance issues and isn’t allowed.

3.10 – Optimize Redstone Clocks and Sorters
Avoid designs that fire every tick. Keep your redstone efficient and server-friendly.

3.11 – Supervise Flying Machines
Flying machines must be watched while in use, as they can cause lag or get stuck.

3.12 – Redstone Per-Chunk Limits
To help keep the server running smoothly, the following redstone limits apply per chunk:

Hoppers: 30
Pistons (regular): 20
Sticky Pistons: 20
Observers: 10
Repeaters: 20
Comparators: 20
Droppers: 20
Dispensers: 20
Spawners: 5
Crafters: 1

Going over these limits may lead to your build being removed without warning.

Rule Section 4 – Cheating, Bugs & Exploits

4.1 – No Exploiting or Duping:
Do not abuse glitches or exploits to gain an unfair advantage, such as duplicating items or blocks. If you discover a bug or exploit, report it to staff—you may receive a reward for your honesty!

4.2 – No Punishment Evasion:
Trying to bypass any form of punishment (such as bans, mutes, or kicks) will result in more severe consequences.

4.3 – Mute Bypass = Double Mute:
Bypassing a mute using signs, books, or Discord will result in an extended mute—or a Discord mute too, if applicable.

4.4 – Report Bugs, Don’t Abuse Them:
Even if it’s a server-side or Mojang-side bug, abusing it is not allowed. Report it for a possible reward instead!

4.5 – No Auto-Clickers or Unfair Macros:
Using auto-clickers, rapid-fire macros, or similar tools is not allowed. Basic macros for chat messages like "Welcome!" are okay—but anything giving gameplay advantages is not.

4.6 – No X-Ray or Advantage-Based Resource Packs:
Using resource packs that give you an edge—like x-ray—is strictly prohibited.

4.7 – No Hack Clients or Hacked Mod Packs:
Any form of hacked client or cheat-based modpack is an instant ban from the community.

4.8 – Approved Clients Only:
The only allowed clients are: Vanilla, Fabric, Optifine, and Lunar. Anything else may be flagged or result in removal if found to give advantages.

4.9 – Be Smart With Your Mods:
Use your best judgment. If a mod gives you an unfair advantage, don’t use it. When in doubt, ask staff first.

Rule Section 5 – World Preservation

5.1 – Gather Resources Responsibly
Replant trees after chopping them down, and avoid large-scale strip mining near spawn or other player bases. Be considerate of the world and those around you.

5.2 – Use the Resource World for Bulk Gathering
Once released, the Resource World is the place for gathering large quantities of materials. Until then, the overworld is fine—but still, please mine responsibly.

5.3 – Do NOT Destroy Trial Chambers
Trial Chambers are protected areas. Do not break or alter floors, walls, or ceilings. You may break decorated pots, cobwebs, and copper grates if needed to reach areas. Leave any redstone mechanisms untouched.

5.4 – Build Transport Systems Thoughtfully
Roads, railways, and other transport builds must be safe, functional, and not disruptive to others. Think community-first when designing!

5.5 – Be Careful With Nether Portals
Don’t place nether portals too close to others. If your portal links incorrectly, try fixing it or reach out to staff or another player for help.

5.6 – Respect Structures in the End
Do not destroy End Cities, End Gateways, or the central End island unless given permission. Preserve the natural layout and any player builds in the End.

5.7 – Enderman Farms Must Be Safe & Low-Lag
If you build or use an Enderman XP farm, ensure it’s well-designed, doesn’t lag the server, and that you clean up any damage caused.

5.8 – Leave End Loot Chests and Ender Chests
You're welcome to take loot (including Elytras), but please do not destroy loot chests or remove Ender Chests. These regenerate over time and should remain available for all players.

5.9 – No Builds in the Resource World
The Resource World can be reset at any time without warning. Do not build bases or long-term projects there. The only exception is for public farms like totem or food farms.

5.10 – Don’t Grief the Resource World Spawn Area
Keep the Resource World’s spawn area clean and accessible to all. No griefing, blocking, or claiming around it.

Rule Section 6 – Players & Accounts

6.1 – Community Fit Matters
Players who consistently fail to follow server rules or negatively impact the community may be removed without warning. We strive for a chill, fun environment—respect that or risk removal.

6.2 – Banned Players Forfeit All Claims
If you're banned or removed, you forfeit all rights to your items, bases, and plots. Your belongings will be stored in shulkers and placed in a silent auction for the community to bid on.

6.3 – Shared Households
If you're playing with family and one of you is banned (but the offense doesn’t warrant an IP ban), others may continue playing during the appeal process—as long as rules are followed.

6.4 – Alts Used for Targeting = Double Ban
Using alternate accounts to disguise your identity, spy, or target the community is strictly prohibited. Both the alt and your main account will be banned.

6.5 – No Hoarding on Alts
Storing valuables, money, or rare items on alt accounts is not allowed. Keep everything on your main account—our detection system flags suspicious behavior, which could result in a ban.

6.6 – Donations Do NOT Equal Immunity
Donating to the server is appreciated, but it does not grant special privileges or protection from rules. Everyone is treated equally.

6.7 – Chargebacks = Instant Ban
Initiating a chargeback will result in an immediate and permanent ban on your account and your IP. This may only be lifted if the payment is fully resolved.

Rule Section 7 – Miscellaneous Rules

7.1 – No Trolling
Purposefully annoying or baiting other players is not welcome. Keep interactions fun and respectful.

7.2 – No Scamming
All trades, jobs, or deals must be fair and honored. Scamming is strictly prohibited.

7.3 – No Trapping Players
Setting traps to harm, kill, or troll other players is not allowed, regardless of the method.

7.4 – No Deceiving Players into PvP
Do not trick or mislead others into PvP. All combat must be consensual.

7.5 – Finish the Jobs You Take
If you're hired for a job, complete it within a reasonable amount of time. Taking jobs and disappearing isn’t cool.

7.6 – One Job Listing at a Time
When posting jobs in the #marketplace channel on Discord, please limit it to one active job post at a time.
